Mr Turner – Ashford, Kent

I’ve just received another batch of locos from GC. Four of my own locos in various degrees of weathering & one of their own customisations. All look fantastic, a superb job indeed. Obviously there are some other good weatherers around, but for me it’s GC WEATHERING every time. Many thanks indeed.
Mr H, Ashford.

Mr Fletcher – Fowler Weathering

Many thanks to all at GC Weathering! This is the first time that I have sent in any of my locos and I am seriously impressed with the results.
From initially talking to Carol to discuss my requirements, to sending my loco over and subsequently receiving it back, everything has been spot on.
Excellent communication throughout and the weathering effects are fantastic, just what I had hoped for.
I would not hesitate to recommend GC Weathering to others and shall without doubt be sending more locos over in due course!

Mr Honey

Just to let you know my latest batch of locos and rolling stock have arrived back today.
Again I would like to thank you for the time and care you have taken to make what initially look like toy trains into something which is a true reflection of how they look in real life use.
The weedkilling train looked good in the photos you sent me but when I unpacked it wow! it looked even better so a BIG thank you for sorting that out for me.
The packaging of the finished items also goes to show it’s just not about the weathering but about every aspect of how you look after your customers and their valued items.
If people want a first class weathering job doing then they should look no further than GC Weathering!”

Mr C Williams

Hello GC. Thank you for my class 50’s. Very happy. Not just the weathering, but the renumbering to 50031 and the time to get the paint looking right, not just stick the plates and crests on.
Also backdating 50007 to “original” GWR green with black plates etc and again taking the time and effort to research all the little livery changes that took place so that it is exactly right, not just a basic name and number change.
Not to mention sending them off for overhaul (if that’s the right term) and also the advice on if what I ask for is correct on the real thing or not is greatly appreciated too.

Phil

Thank you for the terrific job on resurrecting the Class 37 which I had obtained second hand, it having been spoilt when it was renumbered and coated with varnish of some type by the previous owner.
You not only removed the varnish and the poor numbering, but also resprayed the affected areas and renumbered it again. After all that, applied a good weathered finish. As you say “it’s the little things”.
Terrific, thank you. There is a real danger I’ll be back! Phil

Mr Messer

66231 is running around my layout, looking very impressive.
The peeling paintwork and the small numbers on the cab sides are splendid.
“It’s the little things we do” say GC Weathering, and these little things mean a lot. The attention to detail, the desire to get everything just right, the excellent communication and the friendly professionalism means that I shall be sending another loco off very soon.
Mr Messer, Bournemouth.

Craig in South Wales

Thank you GC Weathering for renumbering and renaming my class 47 to “FAIR ROSAMUND” for me.
The weathering is as good as I expected after looking at the galleries on your website. there will be more 37’s, 47’s and 56’s coming your way for similar work to be done in the near future. Very happy! Craig, South Wales.

Mr W Lyndsey

Hi GC, Locos received today at noon, all safe and running around now. Your weathering detail really is first class and seriously good.
The Class 25 sound is fantastic, the depth and clarity is superb.
Thank you for sorting out the front detail, well done. Can’t say much more because all 3 locos are perfect, thanks so much for a professional service. I will be recommending you to my friends and railway club.

Mr A Hebden

Just to say I’m really impressed and happy with the results. The re-numbering is spot on and the weathering is subtle and looks ‘real’.
It was well worth the wait and Thank you to all concerned. I’ve happily recommended your services on the various N gauge forums and I will Indeed have another similar conversion coming up. Rest assured, GC Weathering will be my first port of call.
Thanks again

Mr Wraight

I have had approximately 35 locos weathered with GC already and now have have just received the latest batch of six.
The work and skill that goes into the end result never ceases to amaze me and every item you have done for me could not have been bettered. I have just three words to describe the results of your efforts “superb, realistic, unbeatable”.

Dr Mason-Watts

Delighted, only had a chance to look over it at the weekend.
Your service was efficient, delivered on promises including timings and quality of workmanship, and I would not hesitate to recommend you.
Thank you Dr Mason-Watts

Mr Foster

Loco returned safe and sound. Lovely job thankyou so much. Thanks also for putting the bits on!
Keep up that good work, “it’s the little things”.
Best regards Mr P Foster

Mr Williams, South Wales

Thanks to all at GC Weathering for the superb job you’ve done for me. 47616 “Y DDRAIG GOCH/THE RED DRAGON” will have pride of place it deserves in any welsh display cabinet! Everything is spot on especially the little dragon motifs in the headcode panels. Definitely more loco’s coming your way, sooner than later, thanks very much,

Mr Williams

Mr Messer

It wasn’t until this afternoon that I was able to open my parcel to discover 66245 in all its glory! I am delighted with the change you have made to this loco. The spacing of the new numbers is flawless and the weathering subtle and realistic. Thank you for the trouble you went to, and can you please book me a slot in your diary for another similar renumbering and weathering? Regards

Mr Messer

Mr Pearson

The locos arrived today and I would just like to say what a superb job you have done on them! I am really pleased with both of them so thank you very much. Now I have had time to look more closely at the locos, I realise how much detail and subtle nuances have been put into the weathering. The results are far removed from the general all-over misting of dirt colour that you see on many weathered locos. The greasy buffers really look greasy for example, and the water overspill is subtle with just the right amount of ‘shine’ to make it appear that the ‘grime’ on the loco tank top and sides is wet! Marvellous! I will certainly be sending some more locos for the GC Weathering treatment.
Once again, many thanks for the work done on the Jinty and L1 – they look super! Regards

Mr Pearson

Mr Brown (Yeoman Warder) – Tower of London

What a fantastic job you have done to my Black 5, not only have you weathered it but as to my request, you renamed and renumbered it. It looks fantastic… I will be getting you to do some more weathering for me and I highly recommend you to anyone wanting any weathering done. Thank you both for your fantastic work. Regards

Mike – West Yorkshire

Just a quick thank you for the wonderful job you’ve done for me on my various wagons and locos that I have just unpacked. Wow! Isn’t enough! The finish that you have achieved on every bit of rolling stock that I sent to you is perfect even down to the small areas of rust on the steel girders and pipes for loads on the bolster wagons. Everything you have done is to the highest standard even down to the packing on the items when you returned them to me. All I can say the wait was worth it and I can’t wait until I send you the next lot of items to you so they can get the same treatment.
The Class 37 in engineers livery is particularly worth a mention and if anyone is considering having such a loco weathered then they should look no further than GC Weathering. Once again a BIG thank you.

Mr Wickes – Dartford, Kent

I’m very pleased as usual with the quality of workmanship. They have turned out exactly as I’d hoped for. I will be sending another order of locos and rolling stock to you in the near future to have the same quality which was done on these locos.

Thank you for the extra coal & figures too! I’ll let you know if and when I need another renumbering in the future, I’ve got a merchant navy planned for the future.

Matt – London

GC weathering are truly fantastic. My renumbering job for two Farish locos changed from generic numbers to 55 022 (including nameplates) and class 31 403 is amazing. Just as if these locos are new off the production line. Not only has the workmanship been excellent the communication and level of customer service is second to none. I am now looking at other renumbering projects in relation to the fantastic and extremely professional job GC has done.

Mr Spafford – North Lincolnshire

Class 67 has arrived. It’s ace. Without doubt, the best turned out loco I’ve got. The detail down to the cleaned wipe of the windscreen wipers is just brilliant! All this from one that was messed up!
well done.
Best regards,

Mr Spafford

Mr Devine – Coventry

This is the first time I have used GC Weathering, so as a trial I sent 2 locos, one for standard weathering and one for a custom finish, as well as 3 wagons and 3 coaches for light, medium and heavy detailing. It has taken me over 20 years to “risk” having any of my pristine models weathered, but the finish that has been achieved is absolutely superb. I will have no hesitation in using GC Weathering to model many more of my models.
Kind regards,

Mr Devine

Ben – Kent

The wagons arrived safely today and are absolutely superb, many thanks indeed. I particularly appreciate all the extra things you’ve done like the glazing on the brake van and the leftover coal in the wagons – they really are wonderful. The small but very effective touches like the wear from where the guard would use the steps on the brake van are also superb!
All the best,

Ben

Mr T – Kent

Have just received another parcel back from GC WEATHERING. A couple of locos and freight rolling stock. FANTASTIC, The detail in the weathering is second to none. I think their high standard has just got higher!!!

Mike – Philadelphia, USA

The loco arrived yesterday and looks superb, from the overall filthy appearance that was typical of the final days of the ‘Warship’ Class 42s right down to the tiny details like the clean wiped windows on an otherwise filthy windscreen. Equally impressive was the great service from Glen & Carol- they researched how best to arrange international shipping and checked in with me at every stage of the process to make sure they were meeting my needs, even sending me a couple of photos of the finished model for my review before final despatch.

Many thanks and kind regards,

Mike

Mr Hibbert – Nottinghamshire

Thank you for the weathering of my N Gauge loco, it looks excellent, a really professional job. It is a pleasure to do business with you, in fact, I will be sending you another loco within the next couple of weeks. Cheers

Mr M Hacker – Germany

I was instantly delighted when taking the loco out of the box as the overall appearance is really convincing and realistic. Everything is neatly applied, much neater than I would ever be able to do! Thank you for this and also your intensive email contact giving opportunity for all requests.

Showing the loco to a fellow modeller he asked me if you might offer your weathering service for continental locos as he has no idea who might do the job to your standards in Germany. I hope there is the opportunity to engage your workshops with the alteration of my British stock again sometime.

Best regards

Mr Turner – Ashford

As always the Western and the steel carrier are fantastic, I’m well pleased. So much so that I had the loco running at half-past seven in the morning. Thank you. Well GC Weathering, what can I say except you’re ahead of the field and others have a lot of catching up to do, many thanks once again.
Best wishes,

Mr Turner
